September 2017 We are driving from eastern Canada back home to California. We drove in May from California to eastern Canada. We only stayed in KOA camper cabins. This is absolutely the best. We will br back.
There are newer washrooms near the top (back) of the grounds. Individual rooms with a shower, perfect for people who want some privacy.
Great campground. We stayed in a 30 amp pull through site that was fairly level. Had water, sewer hookup and electric. Water was awkward since it was on the other side of the camper. Sites are somewhat close to each other. Lots of kid friendly activities on the weekend but more activities are needed during the weekdays. Pool, splash park and giant jump pillow. Unfortunately the game room they used to have is now gone. Great new bathhouse in upper part of campground near tent sites and an outdoor kitchen with gas grills provided for use. Close to Penn State, creamery, bald eagle lake, stores and Amish farms. Somewhat pricey, but most KOAs are. We would consider staying here again.
Although we weren't travelling with kids, this place would be great for them! Jumping pillows, pond, basketball net and volleyball (and looks like the weekends have lots of planned activities too)
Very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Campsites were clean and the entire park was very well maintained. Camp personnel were polite and professional as well as a pleasure to talk to. This was our first trip from Alabama to Pennsylvania with our new camper and we could not have picked a better camp site to stay at. We plan on coming back in the spring of 2018.
We stayed one night here and were the only ones tenting it for the night, but that meant we had a bit of peace and quiet in the tent area. The bathrooms were beautifully upgraded and very clean. If we'd stated longer we would have used that amazing camp kitchen. The staff was pleasant. Wish we could have utilized more of the facility, but it was just a stop on our roadtrip.
Wow! 5+ stars! Our second visit to a KOA, and we were worried it would be as nice as the last. This place is perfect!
We stayed in a one room cabin, complete with AC and T.V. everything was clean, check in was a breeze and it's conveniently located near Penn State/State College (try a grilled sticky!) Our cabin was fairly private, and the camp ground is very quiet.
Definitely recommend this KOA. Would love to return if we are ever in the area.
