To top it off the put a new molded bumper on and it has ridges or gloppy paint where it meets the fender, and the owner's response was, "well that is how the part came from Honda, so it was not their fault", even though they installed it with a known defect. He then told me that it was normal for new cars to have this defect. They refuse to work on it and will not honor their lifetime guarantee. I am currently waiting to see what the insurance adjuster regional manager says, who advised me to take it to the dealership to have them assess it.

Black Walnut has been an absolute nightmare. There is a shake in my steering wheel (Honda 2010 Pilot touring) and a pull to one side. even though the sales rep there Craig said he drove it and it was fine. He demanded I put new tires on it, because they felt it was the tires. They would do nothing more until I did. Well I put all new tires on it from the tire company they recommended (LMR). Craig again drove it saying it was fine. I got in the car and it was still wobbling and shaking. They replaced the new tires 2x and it still had the same problem. The owner Eric still feels it is the tires (citing that tires are just made cheap anymore, made in China, etc.- deflecting and not taking responsibility) and is offering to do nothing, though the tire shop insists it is not the tires. This was an insurance claim, where both sets of tie rods were replaced in the front, a new steering assembly was put in, etc. They refuse to fix it. I now have escalated back to my insurance Nationwide.
Eric and Staff were very accommodating. The repair work was performed very professionally and quickly. I have had my vehicles repaired at Black Walnut Body Works a few times. In every case the repairs to the vehicle were exceptional and the vehicle looked like New!. I would Highly Recommend Black Walnut Body Works if you care about the repairs to your vehicle to be done properly.
Great work on our MKX. I would recommend these guys. Quick turnaround time.
Took my vehicle in to be fixed around September, original date to be done was November 3rd, they did not meet that date, the next date it was suppose to be done was November 20th, they did not meet that date either, then it was November 30th and so on, got the car back mid December. Very slow but Nice people and do great work but simply can not meet the due dates I was told it'd be done by

The icing on the cake was a recent phone call we got from Eric explaining we had won the “Hit a deer, win a Deere” contest. Yes, we have a new John Deere D110 just in time to retire our dilapidated old mower. I guess you could say we cheated, getting hit by three deer this season alone, one huge buck four days after getting the vehicle back, but welcome to Potter County.
We have worked with the people at Black Walnut since 2001. They were recommended by a friend, and we have been completely satisfied with their service ever since. We live in the deep woods of Potter County – just under 2 hours away. Unfortunately, due to all the terrorist deer, bear, and the occasional crazy drunk that abound around here, we have frequented their facility far too often. Each experience, however, had been a pleasure. Since we work in Emergency Services, our vehicles have extensive customization and emergency warning equipment to deal with, not to mention high-end brush guards that make the deer fear us. We are always presenting them with complicated repairs and short time-lines. Black Walnut has never disappointed. They even vacuumed several pounds of white dog hair from the vehicles before returning them. Now that is service.
