I have only just started using this pharmacy after using CVS on S. Atherton for quite awhile. The only reason I switched is that CVS no longer takes a certain insurance I had used. This Rite Aid seems to be a nice, newer pharmacy. However, I feel that a number of the workers behind the desk have a certain attitude. At the CVS, customer service was exemplary; fast and very, very friendly. I always knew I'd be treated well. At this Rite Aid, when I have approached the desk for either a prescription entry or pick-up, I have encountered lazy, so-what-if-you-are there type of employees. I have actually stood waiting for a number of minutes while employees were finishing up personal conversations. Another time, a woman was typing something up on a computer right in front of me, instead of acknowledging that I was there and that she would be with me in a moment. I've also been told orders would be ready in 10 minutes, to come back and say it would be another 10 minutes or more. This pharmacy really needs to work on customer service skills.
The review below this about nails it on the head. There is a general distaste for customers that is very noticeable at the pharmacy specifically. I hate when people treat me like I am bothering them to do their job. It does not seem to be specific to any certain employee so I would guess that their superiors are the ones breeding this environment. My prescription is always right if someone will answer the phone. Just went through 3 separate ring cycles before I gave up. Someone needs to do something about the moral in the pharmacy. The employees are not taking care of the customers.
